As a landed immigrant, I got into contact with the RDG Careers. After a professional life in Europe, RDG Careers professionals took time with me to look back at past achievements and look to future possibilities.

The sessions were a definite asset in my job hunt.  …  converted my European resume into a Canadian version.  I learned the changes in culture and job hunting in Canada.

A plan was set up to “market” me.  A contact network was created.  … choose between different job openings. During the decision time, I was able to rely on competent advice from RDG Careers  to choose for the perfect employer.

After being in Canada a few months, a contract was signed.  This was much earlier than anticipated upon arrival.  This was a combination of my determination and support from RDG Careers.

Words truly cannot express how pleased I am to have been able to work with RDG Careers.  You have helped me realize my true potential, understand how valuable my skills are, and most importantly, they have taught me how to believe in myself and see myself as a valuable commodity.

Before I began working with RDG Careers, I devalued and underestimated myself and remained loyal to companies who were not worthy of my loyalty.  After working with RDG Careers I became more confident because I truly understand how much I have to offer any employer.  I also understood that while it is important to be loyal, you need to be loyal to yourself first.  This is an important lesson because it helps you make the right decisions for yourself career wise.

I came to RDG Careers from a position of unemployment.  I tried in vain to find a position that would be right for me.  I encountered many roadblocks and dead ends along the way.  I found it difficult to search for work in today’s market.  The only options seemed to be newspapers and the internet, and with so many people unemployed it proved to be a difficult way to look for work.  If I did get an interview I had situations where I was not prepared for the questions they asked me and found myself nervous and apprehensive about the interview process.  For the 6 months I went through alone, with no help, with no educations on how to look for work.

That’s when RDG Careers entered the picture. They have unique ways of assisting people to find work.  I was a little skeptical at first but when I thought about what was said to me about the company I realized that many of their observations were the very things I had problems with when looking for work.  I also realized that they were what I was looking for, they were the missing link!  RDG Careers provided me with the “education” I was seeking in terms of looking for work.

But it’s not only that, RDG Careers staff stood by me like a true friend and helped me every step of the way.  It’s comforting to know you have the support of others.  Even more-so when you are unsure of a situation and need guidance.  After only two months of working with RDG Careers I was able to get my dream job; a position close to home, no long hours, holidays and weekends off, benefits, great pay, prestige and the opportunity to grow.  The amazing thing is that RDG Careers is still there, you don’t find this kind of support every day, like a great friend, it is priceless.  Thank you RDG Careers.  Keep doing what you do.
